Purpose

Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina Foundation funds projects that improve health outcomes and decrease health disparities for South Carolina residents, especially those that are economically vulnerable. Foundation priorities include oral health, mental health, diabetes, and social determinants of health.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants are:

Nonprofit organizations that have 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status
Government agencies
Tax-exempt educational and research institutions

Amount of funding

There is no maximum award amount for grant requests. The proposed budget must justify the amount requested.

Application process

Submit an online letter of intent by February 3, 2025. Selected applicants will be invited to submit a full application with a deadline of March 12, 2025.

Applicants are strongly encouraged to contact a Lindsey Kilgo to discuss the proposed project prior to submitting a letter of intent.
