The North Central Regional Center for Rural Development (NCRCRD) at Michigan State University provides seed grants aimed at enhancing the ability of land grant institutions to positively influence the quality of life in rural areas of the 12-state North Central Region. Health-related priorities include addressing rural poverty, physical and mental health challenges, and demographic change.

Current faculty and staff of land grant institutions in the North Central Region are eligible to apply.

Expected number of awards: 2
Total funding available: $120,000

Applicants that would like feedback on a project idea prior to submission may submit an initial concept paper any time before the proposal deadline. Concept papers will be reviewed in the order they are received.
