As part of the Continuum of Care (CoC) program, HUD will select up to 25 communities to participate in the Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program to develop and implement a coordinated community approach to preventing and ending youth homelessness. At least 8 of the selected communities will be rural.
This application process is for community selection only. Project applications will occur after communities have been selected.
Eligible applicants include collaboratives led by:
- State, county, city, township, and special district governments
- Nonprofit organizations
- Indian tribes and tribally designated housing entities
Applicants must have registered through the most recent Continuum of Care (CoC) Program registration process.
Each selected community will be eligible to apply for project funding. Award amounts for projects will range from $600,000 to $15,000,000 and may be used for 1 project or split among up to 10 projects.
