The Medical Residency Training State Matching Grants Program will award funding to establish, expand, or support medical residency training programs in Iowa. Priority will be given to applications that establish/expand emergency medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, and psychiatry residency programs.
Applicants must show how safety net providers including but not limited to local public health agencies, critical access hospitals, rural health clinics, community health centers, and community mental health centers will be engaged.
Eligible applicants are hospitals, schools, or consortia located in Iowa that sponsor and maintain primary organizational and financial responsibility for an Iowa graduate medical education residency program accredited by the American Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).

Total funding available: $5,500,000
Matching funds are required based upon the description in the application instructions.
