Minnesota Rural Public Health Nurse Loan Forgiveness Program

The Minnesota Public Health Nurse Loan Forgiveness Program offers loan repayment assistance to Licensed Registered Nurses (RN) with certificates as public health nurses who agree to serve in designated rural areas of Minnesota.
A designated rural area is defined as a city or township that is outside the 7-county Minneapolis/ St. Paul metropolitan area, excluding the cities of Duluth, Mankato, Moorhead, Rochester, and St. Cloud.
Licensed Registered Nurses (RN) who hold public health nurse certification are eligible to apply.
Preference will be given to applicants who can demonstrate diverse cultural competencies.
Up to $6,000 per year with a maximum of $24,000.
