Purpose

The New York State 30 J-1 Visa Waiver Program offers a J-1 Visa waiver to foreign physicians who commit to serving for 3 years in an underserved area of New York, waiving the foreign medical residency requirement and allowing them to remain in the United States.

Eligibility

Physicians that are licensed to practice medicine in New York are eligible to apply for a State-30 J-1 waiver.

Completed applications should be postmarked by December 12, 2024 and mailed to:
