Purpose

Maryland Dent-Care Loan Assistance Repayment Program (MDC-LARP) offers loan repayment assistance to dentists and dental hygienists in Maryland who provide care to Maryland Medical Assistance Program recipients.

Eligibility

Applicants must work full-time in Maryland, be enrolled with the Maryland Healthy Smiles program (dental hygienists to be supervised by a Medical Assistance Provider), and have at least 30% of their patient population who receive help from the Maryland Medical Assistance Program.

Amount of funding

Dentists may receive up to $50,000 per year for each year of obligated service up to a maximum of 3 years of service.

Dental hygienists may receive up to $10,000 per year for each year of obligated service up to a maximum of 2 years of service.
