The Iowa Dental Education Loan Repayment Program offers up to $200,000 for the repayment of dental education debt to be used over a 5 year period. In return, the selected dentist agrees to practice in rural or underserved area in Iowa. Recipients must also allocate 35% of patient visits to underserved populations, including a minimum of 15% Medicaid-insured patients.
The Fulfilling Iowa's Need for Dentists (FIND) project is an expansion of the loan repayment program that works to stimulate community matching funds and promote the loan repayment program to targeted communities.
Licensed dentists in Iowa are eligible to apply.
$200,000 over a 5-year period for a dentist serving in a high-priority county.
$125,000 over a 5-year period for a dentist serving in a priority or non-designated county.
A $5,000 local match is required.
