Purpose

The Community and Economic Development Initiative of Kentucky offers a two-year fellowship for Appalachian students enrolled in graduate education in a health field. Fellows will be expected to virtually attend quarterly mentoring sessions with CEDIK staff.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants are students currently accepted or enrolled full-time in a post-graduate program in the fields of medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, or nursing.

Applicants must have a permanent address in the Appalachian region and demonstrate clear intention to return to Appalachia to pursue a health career.

$10,000 per year for a two-year period.
