Purpose

The American Indian College Fund provides scholarships for American Indian, Alaska Native, and Indigenous Canadian students seeking technical, undergraduate, and graduate degrees at tribal colleges and universities and nonprofit, accredited schools in the United States.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants are U.S. and Canadian citizens eligible to attend college in the United States under provisions of the Jay Treaty. Applicants must also be registered as an enrolled member of a federal or state recognized tribe, or a descendant of a parent or immediate grandparent that is/was an enrolled member of a state or federally recognized tribe or Alaska Native village.

Application process

Applications are accepted every year from February 1 to May 31. A link to the online application portal is available on the program website.
