Colorado Resource for Emergency And Trauma Education (CREATE) Grants
CREATE assists public and private organizations in improving and expanding the emergency medical and trauma system in Colorado. This grant is intended to provide funding for continuing education for current emergency medical and trauma services staff or initial training for new staff.
Funding may be used for:
- Tuition
- Course fees
- Specific prerequisites
- Required books
- National Registry exams
- Cards to demonstrate successful completion of a standard course of instruction
- Reasonable travel expenses
Applicants must be entities whose purpose is a provision of emergency medical or trauma services within Colorado, including but not limited to:
- Ambulance agencies
- Fire agencies
- State and local governing agencies
- Training facilities
- Hospitals and clinics
- Special districts
- Other public and private providers of EMS and trauma services
The maximum amount awarded per course is based on a 50/50 match for approved courses.
Financial waivers are available for agencies that can demonstrate financial inability to match at the 50% level.
