Purpose

Grants that school staff members in Kansas can use to develop programs that promote healthy lifestyle choices for their K-12 students.

Programs should help youth:

  • Reduce their cardiovascular risk
  • Increase their physical activity
  • Learn healthy eating habits
  • Reinforce positive mental health

Program ideas

Eligibility

School nurses, physical education teachers, principals, health or family and consumer science teachers, and other administrators are encouraged to apply. Applications must be signed by the school principal.

Applications are accepted from all counties in Kansas, excluding Johnson and Wyandotte counties.
