The Kansas Bridging Plan offers loan forgiveness to resident physicians working in primary care, obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN), and psychiatry who agree to a service contract to work in rural areas of Kansas.
Eligible Kansas resident programs include:
- Family medicine
- Internal medicine
- Pediatrics
- Medicine-pediatrics
- Emergency medicine
- Psychiatry
- Child Psychiatry
- Medicine-Psychiatry
- Obstetrics and Gynecology
The combined financial incentive can be up to $26,000, and loans are forgiven at the completion of the 36 month service contract.
Up to 14 slots are for primary care, 3 slots for OB-GYN, and 3 slots for psychiatry.
