Purpose

This program is for physicians who have an interest in health and medical care research related to one or more of the following:

  • Urgent health issues
  • Health inequities
  • Social determinants of health
  • Healthcare access
  • Quality
  • Cost
Eligibility

Physicians based in Michigan are eligible to apply. Their organizations must be nonprofit.

Up to $10,000.

Application process

Applicants must submit a concept paper to foundation@bcbsm.com at least 60 days before the next grant review deadline to be considered for that funding cycle. Selected applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal.

Applications are accepted at any time and reviewed at Board of Directors meetings 3 times per year. Review dates and deadlines are listed in the grant application timelines section of the program website.
