Coverage Trends for American Indian and Alaska Native Children and Families
Analyzes data from the U.S. Census Bureau to show trends in health insurance coverage rates among American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) children and families between 2008 and 2015. Examines the expanded role of Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) in driving down the AI/AN uninsured rates, particularly in states with the largest AI/AN populations.

Mobility of US Rural Primary Care Physicians During 2000-2014
Presents results from a study aimed at understanding which rural physicians are most likely to move, and which factors most likely contribute to that decision. Uses data from the American Medical Association Physician Masterfile between 2000 and 2014, and shows the likelihood of mobility based on gender, age, birthplace, long work commute, county unemployment rate, Rural-Urban Continuum Code (RUCC), and numerous other indicators.

Barriers Rural Physicians Face Prescribing Buprenorphine for Opioid Use Disorder
Examines the barriers rural physicians who hold Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) waivers to prescribe buprenorphine face. Seeks to explain why some rural physicians who hold a DEA waiver choose not to prescribe buprenorphine or treat a fewer number of patients than their waiver allows.
