Prevention of Underage Drinking on California Indian Reservations Using Individual- and Community-Level Approaches
Reports on a study evaluating the long term effects of combined individual-level and community-level interventions to reduce the consumption of alcohol by tribal youth living in 9 rural California reservations. The overall impact of combining interventions was assessed using anonymous data from the California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS). Comparisons of consumption were made between tribal youth in the intervention area and tribal youth outside the intervention area.
