Key Informant Perspectives on Supporting Health and Well-Being for LGBTQ+ Rural Residents
Provides an overview of challenges rural LGBTQ+ populations face related to their physical and mental health as well as recommendations to overcome these challenges. Reports on 14 interviews held with representatives from LGBTQ+ advocacy groups and includes discussions about issues such as cultural competency and attitudes among healthcare staff, intersecting concerns about LGBTQ+ and rural identity, resource availability in rural areas, and ability to access services.
