As the South Grows: On Fertile Soil

Examines the discrepancy between philanthropic efforts in the South and other regions of the U.S. and some of the health concerns they face. Provides examples of Southern nonprofit leaders and makes recommendations to help foundations and donors maximize the impact of their investments. Also explains why alternative methods for giving may be required in the South, where organizations and leaders don't always conform to traditional educational and organizational standards. Rural-specific considerations are discussed throughout.
