Develops an actionable plan for measuring the nation's progress in obesity prevention efforts. Includes information and tools related to evaluating obesity prevention efforts, with the goal that the most promising interventions will be adopted more widely. Includes some discussion of challenges related to rural program evaluation. Appendix E features tools and methods used to evaluate programs and identifies those that were used in a rural setting.
