Examines the prevalence of Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage in rural and urban areas, and explains enrollment patterns based on rural/urban region. Also discusses the difference between stand-alone prescription drug plans (PDPs) and Medicare Advantage prescription drug (MA-PD) plans, and how changes in the Affordable Care Act (ACA) may affect rural and urban Medicare Part D beneficiaries differently.
