Examines if firearms retailers notifying purchasers about included cable locks at the point of sale improves subsequent locking device use and gun safety practices. Analyzes 2 samples of firearms owners with sample 2 broken down further into subsamples by 3 states: Minnesota, Mississippi, and New Jersey. Includes data on firearms cable lock usage for all samples as well as demographic breakdowns in the Minnesota sample, including age, sex, race/ethnicity, and rurality.
