Investigates 21 cases of tuberculosis (TB) in a rural Arkansas county to understand patient characteristics, identify epidemiologic links, and establish possible chains of transmission. Discusses characteristics and demographics of TB patients, potential reasons for transmission in a rural community, and necessary public health efforts to reduce TB outbreaks.
