Examines the prevalence and predictors of heavy episodic
alcohol use in women from 18 clinics in the Appalachian
region of Ohio, a primarily rural area, as part of the
Community Awareness Resources and Education I (CARE I)
study. CARE I focused on determining how social,
environmental, behavioral, and biological factors
contribute to the causes and prevention of cervical cancer.
