Study of time-to-treatment for patients experiencing
ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction heart attacks in
Wyoming, a rural, frontier state. Examines data from 11
hospitals capable of providing primary percutaneous
coronary intervention (PCI), 4 of which are in Wyoming and
7 in surrounding states, looking at rates of PCI and other
treatment strategies. Discusses cooperation between
hospitals and emergency medical services and implications
for statewide efforts in rural areas.
