postmenopausal women, comparing rural and urban residence
in relation to stage of cancer diagnosis. Discusses social
support and social strain as factors affecting cancer
screening. Provides data drawn from the Women's Health
Initiative (WHI) on clinical and sociodemographic
characteristics of 7,120 women diagnosed with breast cancer
using rural-urban commuting area (RUCA) codes to identify
rural and urban residence.
