their effect on diverse ethnic, racial, socioeconomic and
geographic backgrounds, including rural. Offers
evidence-based recommendations to help state policymakers
integrate CHWs into healthcare delivery teams to improve
health outcomes and reduce the cost of healthcare for
individuals and populations.
