Describes a statewide plan to promote and support a
comprehensive approach to prevent HIV infections and
co-infections and to provide quality care for those already
infected with HIV. Discusses issues specific to rural
areas, including transportation, support for home testing,
and use of innovative approaches and technology to support
medication adherence. Covers the epidemiologic overview, HIV care
continuum, financial and human resources, and other
considerations made to formalize a statewide HIV prevention
and care plan.
